God's Able Campaign - August 2019 Update

Delayed But Not Denied

Our search for a new church home was almost postponed, but we are excited to report that the God's Able Building Campaign has transitioned from the Search Phase to Acquisition!

The Lord has blessed us with a contract on a great property on 2 acres of land nearby in Bowie. The building requires a complete renovation and the land prepared, but when completed, our mortgage for this larger facility and land will be less than what we are currently paying in rent!

Financing is currently being secured so we can close on the property by October 2019. In the interim, there are many tasks to complete and costs to cover, so we still need God to work through our members and friends in order to bring this to pass.

First, we need your prayers. The faith-filled prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective. We have only come this far by faith in God's ability to bless us with $150,000 raised to date and the right property to purchase, so pray for God's continued provision and favor throughout this project. Pray for the finances, pray for the workers, and pray for the Lord's favor to go before us the entire way.

Second, we need additional finances to cover the various costs associated with the purchase, construction, and move, so our next financial milestone is to raise $50,000 by Oct. 1, 2019. Any outstanding pledges need to be fulfilled and new contributions made by this date. Pray how God would use you to help us rise to this next challenge.

Third, share what God is doing at Abundant Life with your family and friends. What has been accomplished during this campaign and throughout these 9 years since opening our doors has been nothing but a powerful move of God and we believe that He isn't finished yet (just finished at our current location).

So, we are asking you to pray, give, and share. Don't let this seemingly impossible goal discourage you. This campaign is named "God's Able" because we determined from the beginning that it's not by our ability that we would move into our new church home, but rather God's ability working through the faith of those He has called according to His purpose. So, let your faith declare with ours that "God's able!"
